A Treasure Trove of Antiques Found at Cashiers Fall Antique Show

By Dasha Morgan-

The Cashiers Fall Antiques Show this year will be featuring approximately a dozen dealers from all over the South, from North Port, Alabama, to as far north as Marietta, Ohio.

Thanks to Michael, Nancy and Henry Weaver, who are the owners of Southern Eagle Promotions, you will be able to see some delightful treasures from all around the world for only three days Thursday, August 29th, through Saturday, August 31st, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

This is an opportunity to see an extraordinary range of beautiful pieces, carefully chosen by knowledgeable, professional dealers. Recognized names of fine English and French china, antique and decorative rugs, chandeliers, vintage and estate jewelry, sterling Flatwear and Hollow-ware,as well as vintage linens and textiles (dating from late 1800-1960) can all be found at the various booths in the Sapphire Valley Resort Community Center, located at 207 Sapphire Valley Road, Cashiers, NC 28774.

Shopping at an Antique Show allows one to speak to a knowledgeable person, who may have specialized in something of interest to you. Many people have collected for years and would like to pick up another piece for their collection. Perhaps the dealer has some information about a special item you inherited from your family. Or even, this heirloom piece may be in need of repair, with a small scratch or “ding” on it. Then, too you must make sure you’re not removing “value” by making changes to an antique.

The floor will be filled with experts to talk to and can explain a good path for you to follow. Or perhaps you are trying to put an antique item in with more modern pieces of furniture. The advice from an expert is always of value, so you can get it balanced and attractively displayed. Visiting an antique show is a good way to broaden your knowledge, learn the value of some of your favorite antiques, and you have an opportunity to purchase something exquisite.

Here is a list of the exhibitors who will be present:

Andrew Harley Antiques Llc (Forest Acres, SC), Atlanta Fine Rugs (Atlanta, GA), Bond Street Antiques (Woodstock, GA), Davis-O’reilly Antiques (North Port, AL), Dogwood Antiques Inc (Marietta, Ohio), Fine Arts And Antiques (Lilburn, GA),Len Harmon Antiques (Vilas, NC), Michael Weaver Sterling (Canton, GA), Millstones Inc (Chamblee, GA), Status Symbol Antiques, Llc (Lynchburg,VA), Sterling Treasures (Camden, SC), Town And Country Vintage (Linens Rome, GA)
