The show depicting all things “spring” as seen through the artist’s eye was a great success.

The next meeting will be held Sunday, July 14 from 1:30 to 4:00 p.m. Following a short business discussion and awards presentation, a program on watercolor painting will be presented by the newly arrived, now local artist Pat Morgan.

Also on tap at the meeting is a member’s exhibition of paintings; each depicting the artist’s interpretation of a subject of their choice, beginning with the letter,“S”.

Non-members may participate in the exhibition by simply bringing in their painting and joining the Art League at the time.

The Art League meets quarterly at the City Operations Center, 305 Williams Street, Hendersonville. The public is invited to come meet artists working in a range of media at various skill levels and to learn in the process.

Fifteen local artists have been selected. Their work ranges from oil paintings, acrylic paintings, pastel paintings, watercolors and mixed media work.

Subject matter is governed by whatever interests the artists, such as original landscapes, portraits, florals, still life, animals, or non-objective work. The current exhibit will be on display through June of 2019.
