Hendersonville – Harry James Creamer, age 85, of Hackettstown, NJ formerly of Hendersonville, NC died Friday, July 17, 2020 at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center. Harry was born November 26, 1934 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Harry Alfred and Edna Mary (Woods) Creamer.
He served proudly in the US Navy during the Korean War from 1952 to 1955. He was employed by Eaton Corporation, Deer Park, Long Island, New York as an Electrical Engineer for many years before retiring. Harry was an active member of the American Legion, Hendersonville, NC. In addition he loved to play softball for the Hendersonville Men’s Senior Softball League. He was a New York Ranger fan and in his younger years enjoyed coaching hockey.
Harry is survived by his loving wife of 66 years: Theresa (Batton) Creamer, five children, Elissa Engel and husband Jerry, Kevin Creamer and wife Peggy, Colleen Pilz, Theresa Grimes and husband Mark, Kelley Bailey and husband Jim, eight grandchildren, Kendra, Brynn, Kyle, Hayley, Lauren, Mark, Chanler, JP, two great grandchildren, Tiana, Julia and sister-in-law, Barbara Sauders.
